It is a completely modernized old store house ("kura") with excellent facilities and comfortable sleeping. The kitchen, bath and living room downstairs are pristine and the downstairs bedroom is very comfortable. The upstairs tatami room is huge and the smell of the new tatami is wonderful. My daughter's family slept very comfortably on futon in that room. The tableware in the kitchen comes from the related ceramic gallery and is beautiful and functional. They even serve fresh fruit, croissants and rolls with butter and jam for breakfast. We appreciated everything about the house!
